ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: A STUDY OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES AND THEIR IMPACT ON SOCIETY
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents an ever-expanding field of research, driven by the increase in data processing and storage capacities. This article provides a comprehensive overview of AI by highlighting four specific techniques: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Predictive Analytics and Intelligent Data Discovery. In addition, it addresses the social impacts of AI and the ethical and security challenges, with a focus on protecting privacy and preventing algorithmic discrimination. The research is based on a narrative literature review and highlights the importance of proper regulation and responsibility in the use of AI to ensure that this technology benefits society in a fair and ethical manner.
