SUSTENTABILIDADE NA CADEIA DE SUPRIMENTOS SOB DIRETRIZES DA ONU EM PEQUENAS EMPRESAS
Abstract
The objectives of sustainable development are the most recent actions of the United Nations
organization so that it is possible to face the challenge of the impacts of the three dimensions:
environmental, economic and social. Pressures from external factors such as suppliers, customers, and
NGOs cause the private sector to adopt sustainable practices not only in its operations but in its supply
chain as well. The construction sector, especially small businesses, is seen as an actor who can
contribute to actions in order to reduce the impacts caused. The research problem is to answer
whether sustainability in the supply chain can be considered a source for small companies to
contribute to sustainable development goals. The methodology used to solve the problem was
qualitative exploratory research. The research pointed out that there are several barriers to
implementing a supply chain in small companies, especially sustainability in supply chains.
