APPLICATION OF ARENA SOFTWARE IN A COSMETIC-HAIR INDUSTRY TO IMPROVE TIME, PRODUCTIVITY AND PROCESSES
Abstract
A bottleneck system does not occur when a particular employee, machine, or process does not meet a required demand within a specified period. One method that can be used to discover the possibilities of operational bottlenecks is through simulation software. Thus, this work aimed to propose a cosmetics industry in the production process from the analysis of computer simulation results and to investigate bottlenecks in the production process. For the development of the work, the qualitative research method was used, having as references articles, books and internet sites and carried out in the field of study, through observation. Data collection was performed based on the times of the factory's production processes. With this study, it was possible to analyze the operation and define possibilities for adjustments to be implemented, aiming at reducing time, maximizing productivity and readjusting processes.
