a reflection on the role of organizations in the quality of life of workers

Abstract

This article aims to presente and discuss about Mental Health and Work, bringing a reflection about how this relationship has intensified, reviving an analysis of psychopatologies in the organizational environment, renewing perpectives and contributions on the subject that is responsible for the deterioration of the quality of life of a wide category of workers in the most diverse áreas. Even with such an impact, it is noted that mental disorders remain neglected and underestimated by managers and employees, encouraging the precariousness of work and acting as an obstacle to the proper dealing, making it necessary to attract greater visibility to the theme, wich generates consequences beyond the organization, aiming at the preservation of fundamental human rights and the balance in the relationship between mental health and work. The method used was bibliographic research, of a descriptive nature and a qualitative approach, in works and academic publications. After analyzing and interpreting the collected information, the results indicated that it is essencial to pay attention on the emotional and psychological state of each employee and, in view of this conclusion, a proposal was made for a program to be implemented in organizations to assist in the management of the employee’s well-being.
