CONCEPÇÃO DE CADEIRA DE RODAS PARA PETS: UM EQUIPAMENTO PARA PROMOVER A AUTONOMIA DOS ANIMAIS COM DEFICIÊNCIA

Abstract

This article presents the importance of adjustable wheelchairs for pets and discusses the available options on the market, as well as explaining a project in development by students from Fatec Jahu college to offer greater comfort, safety, and quality of life for these animals. The objective of the article is to present the development of an innovative and adjustable equipment to the body structure of animals with disabilities, which is capable of promoting greater autonomy, comfort, and safety in the daily life of these animals. The project aims to create equipment that facilitates mobility and access to food and water, as well as allowing animals to perform basic physiological needs without the dependence on their caregivers. The intention is to donate the final product to institutions that care for animals in need. The adjustable wheelchair for pets is a solution that allows animals with disabilities or reduced mobility to move more easily and comfortably, providing more mobility and participation in daily activities with their guardians, which can bring benefits for the animals, guardians, and caregivers. The methodology used was the evaluative research method, taking into account visual aspects of similar products, practicality, and versatility. The project seeks to offer greater autonomy, comfort, and safety for animals and their guardians, contributing to a more meaningful life.
