A A APLICAÇÃO DOS CONCEITOS DA SUSTENTABILIDADE E LOGÍSTICA REVERSA NAS INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO
ESTUDO DE CASO FATECECOLÓGICO – FATEC JAHU
Abstract
Reverse logistics and environmental education are topics that can be addressed in any type of organization and could not be different in educational institutions. Schools and colleges can play an important role in favor of the environment in that they are able to mobilize not only students, but also their families and the whole community to develop new habits. Likewise, such institutions also contribute to the compliance with the environmental legislation in force in the country, which advocates shared responsibility among all waste generators in the production chain: manufacturers, traders and citizens. The general objective of this article is to contribute to help raise the awareness of organizations and society in general to the topic of sustainable development and to present reverse logistics as a fundamental tool to mitigate the negative impacts caused by man to the environment. The article presents a review of the emergence and evolution of this environmental tool and presents examples of its applicability in different sectors, as well as describing some of the advantages obtained by organizations when adding this tool to their environmental management system. Reverse logistics has the mission of providing sustainable growth, playing a broader role than simply helping to comply with current environmental legislation. This article, which uses bibliographic research as a methodology supported by a case study conducted in an educational institution, aims to enable the reader to reflect on the importance of reverse logistics for the sustainable development of organizations and specifically, in educational institutions.
